Virginia Infant and Toddler Specialist - Piedmont Roanoke

United Way of Roanoke Valley is seeking a highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented Infant and Toddler Specialist. Successful applicants will possess excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills; have proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite; and be familiar with navigating and managing information in databases. This position will mentor infant and toddler caregivers; assist with training coordination; and serve as SBGR’s liaison in the community. This is a full-time, grant funded position. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in infant and toddler or early childhood education, child development, human services, social work, or child related field required. Full Job Description

Development and Engagement Specialist

Do you like meeting new people, planning events/activities, and raising funds to support work in our community? United Way of Roanoke Valley is seeking a highly motivated, organized, outgoing and detail-oriented Development and Engagement Specialist for our Resource Development Team who possesses an understanding of the diversity of our community and donor population. This position will be instrumental in planning and executing year-round engagement opportunities for current and prospective donors that include revenue generating events, supporting social media outreach, and working with the other Resource Development Team members to meet revenue goals. Successful applicants will possess excellent planning, project-management, communication, leadership and consultative customer service skills; have a desire to reach and exceed revenue goals; have knowledge of MS Office Suite, internet, and social media tools; and be familiar with navigating and managing information in databases. Bachelor’s degree and/or 3 years of progressively responsible experience in the field of community engagement, event planning, fundraising, sales, account management, project management, volunteer management, or related field. Experience in a non-profit environment desirable. Salary Range is $42,000 - $47,000 annually. EOE.
