Web Privacy
United Way may use any personal data and information submitted by you during your use of the Website for United Way's internal use relating to the purposes for which you submitted such data, including but not limited to processing pledges, internal traffic monitoring, usage monitoring and projections. United Way will provide such personal data and information to third parties only as is necessary for those third parties to assist United Way in its internal, administrative functions (such as, by way of example, provision of such data and information to financial institutions for the purposes of processing donations). United Way will not sell such personal data and information to third parties. Notwithstanding the foregoing, any personal information posted by you on the Website is at your own risk.

Campaign Privacy
The safety and security of donor and corporate partner information is a primary concern for United Way of Roanoke Valley.  We will never sell, reveal or share any personal donor information with unaffiliated parties.

Overhead
Over 85% of your gift is invested directly in programs that are helping people in Education, Financial Stability, and Health. An annual average of 15% is leveraged to maintain high standards of fundraising and administrative support, which contributes to our ability to raise millions of dollars each year to invest in the Roanoke Valley.

The best standard for effectiveness of a nonprofit organization is not how little of your donation is used for fundraising, but rather how much of an impact in your community it achieves with each dollar you invest.

United Way amplifies every contribution by investing in exceptional programs, measuring community level progress, addressing key service gaps, strengthening nonprofits, collaborating with other community organizations, and aligning volunteer expertise within the areas of Education, Financial Stability, and Health.
