Help Everyone in Roanoke Valley Thrive

Your donation helps more people thrive. Thank you for making our community stronger!

Tis the Season of Giving

The last part of any year is always an important time for charitable donations, but for United Way of Roanoke Valley, it's become increasingly crucial. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted lives in ways that will have lasting effects on our region. The pandemic has impacted every adult and child in our community, but none as deeply as those who were already struggling or only beginning to find their footing in life.

The virus has brought with it more than illnesses. It has delivered crippling financial fallout to many individuals and families who are supported by the dedicated nonprofit organizations in our community.

United Way of Roanoke Valley plays a critical role in rebuilding lives and addressing persistent problems, pandemic or not. With the help of community leaders and more than 40 partner organizations, United Way is working quickly to identify and close important gaps in community service, and bring magnified attention to persistent inequities.

"Your giving is amplified across current critical issues right here at home, and combined with other to make a much bigger impact than any single gift could on its own," said Abby Hamilton, President & CEO of United Way of Roanoke Valley. "It's also an opportunity to give hope to others while living in accordance with your personal values."

The work is never ending. If you haven't already made a contribution, we hope you will join us with a year-end tax deductible gift to help us make lasting change in the health, education and financial stability of our community.
