LIVE UNITED during United Way’s DAY OF ACTION, June 21, 2018

All you need is a can-do spirit and a few hours of time!

This Thursday, June 21, dedicated volunteers across the region will be paired with non-profit agencies who need their help during the United Way’s annual Day of Action. They’re sharing know-how, elbow grease, and a day’s work to improve their communities, one resource at a time.

Opportunities to pitch in and help include gardening and landscaping, home and bike repairs, and inspecting and sorting food. Volunteers will also be painting, cleaning closets, and gathering items for sock and toys drives for children. United Way of the Roanoke Valley is partnering with Hands on Blue Ridge to help connect volunteers and agencies for the day.
These volunteers, who registered individually, in groups, or with workplace teams, are helping the United Way of the Roanoke Valley put its mission into action. Their work improves the building blocks for quality of life in our communities– health, education, and financial stability.
