Vice President of Community Impact
United Way of Roanoke Valley is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and innovative systems-thinker to lead our Community Impact Team as its Vice President, Community Impact. This position provides strategic leadership in the development and implementation of United Way’s overall impact plan; and guides the investment of resources necessary to achieve the organization’s vision to “elevate 10,000 families to self-sufficiency by 2030.” The VPCI oversees the staff team responsible for carrying out UW-led collaborative in the community; and is instrumental in building strong internal and external relationships that advance the organization’s mission. Ideal candidates must possess strong business acumen, demonstrate strategic thinking and operational planning skills, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and lead a diverse high-performing team. Requirements include experience in program evaluation and human service planning, knowledge of community development practices, and ability to work with and support collaborations. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Social Work, Public Policy, Human Services, or a related field required with a Master’s preferred, 7 or more years of strategic management experience required, and 5 or more years of supervisory experience preferred. Salary range is $62,000 – $65,000. EOE
