Roanoke Valley Financial Fitness Coalition

Managing finances is often an intimidating and challenging task for people - the Roanoke Valley Financial Fitness Coalition is here to help!
In 2011, local government, banks, credit unions and nonprofits across the Valley, including United Way, started working together to encourage people to save and increase their overall ability to manage their finances effectively through coordinated education efforts under the Roanoke Valley Financial Fitness Coalition umbrella.
The mission of the coalition is to provide access to financial education, financial services and assistance through hands-on educational experiences to all citizens of the Roanoke Valley. Classes are taught collaboratively by the partners involved and use curricula approved by the FDIC/NCUA.
The coalition will focus on financial education for individuals, families and youth.
Trainings available will include:
Spending Plans
Banking 101
Basic Credit and Debt Management
Savings Strategies
Credit Repair
Home Ownership
