Current NewsNALC Food Drive Tops Goal
A final tally is still days away, but the NALC Food Drive has already exceeded its goal with 110,025 pounds collected for the Southwestern Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank. "This is a tremendous showing of support for hungry people in our communities,” said Don Vineyard, NALC Branch 524 president. “We want to thank everyone who contributed to this important cause.” Up to 2,000 or more pounds could be added to this amount within the week, according to Food Bank representative Kitty Tabor. That includes results to be reported by some rural stations and more food from people who usually to donate at post offices for a week after the drive.
