ROANOKE, VA–Success by 6, a United Way of Roanoke Valley initiative will hold a breakfast on April 8, 2003 at the Hotel Roanoke to discuss growing a better world for Roanoke Valley children. The breakfast is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. with the program starting at 8:00 a.m.  The special guest speaker will be David Lawrence, retired publisher of Miami Herald and President of Early Childhood Initiative Foundation.  Mr. Lawrence will speak to community leaders about early childhood development and the importance of preparing children to learn.

Success by 6 is a partnership of organizations committed to the care and education of Southwest Virginia’s young children.  Bank of America and the Junior League of Roanoke Valley are sponsoring the breakfast.
