Familywize Prescription Discount Card Program

United Way of Roanoke Valley has partnered with the Familywize Prescription Discount Program to help individuals and families without insurance to get a discount on their prescription medications.  United Way and several community partners like the Department of Health, the Department of Social Services and many other local human service agencies and participating pharmacies have worked very hard to make these cards available to everyone in the community.

United Way of Roanoke Valley wrapped up its 4th year of distributing FamilyWize prescription drug discount cards through our local network in 2011.  Since 2008, FamilyWize cards have generated over $4.5 million in prescription savings in the Roanoke Valley and Alleghany County, and have helped fill close to 293,000 prescriptions essential to people’s health and well-being.

United Way of Roanoke Valley is among the top communities across the country to date in both savings and prescriptions filled. Thanks to all of you who have shared this information to a friend in need!
