Senior Citizen Task Force

The Senior Citizen Task Force was created in June 2004 to address the lack of information relating to the needs of seniors residing outside of nursing facilities. United Way and other groups including providers of direct service to seniors are creating a strategic community plan to meet needs identified by clients and agencies of the human service community.   The task force addresses these critical senior needs: finances, home care services, knowledge of resources, medication, and transportation.

The Council of Community Services, a United Way partner agency, has released a Report to the Community on Senior Citizen Issues.
